The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB and 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC here in Kansas City are both luxury compact SUVs, but there’s quite a bit of dividing space between the two high-class star cars. New last year, the GLB has boxy, upright good looks borrowed from the larger G-Class SUV. Meanwhile, the GLC gets a more traditional appeal with curved edges and sharp accents.

Standard are a set of dual 7-inch displays, but buyers that want peak performance can find dual 10.25-inch displays on the top AMG® model. Despite being the smaller choice, the GLB has the highest maximum cargo volume with up to 62.0 cubic feet of space. It also has an optional third-row seat, making it a great choice for owners who may need to seat seven in a pinch.
The larger 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC luxury crossover has seating for up to five passengers, is priced higher than the GLB, and has more standard features to show for it. A vivid 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen is included across the range, as are heated front seats and Active Parking Assist with Parktronic. Toward the top of the range, the Mercedes-Benz GLC can also be fitted with more upscale touches, such as sport front seats, heated rear seats, three-zone climate control, and Nappa leather upholstery.
