2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. 2016 BMW 3 Series

With the luxury segment ever-evolving, shopping for a new vehicle can be a daunting process. Especially when brands are ahead of the curve- like Mercedes-Benz- fully understanding what the car is capable of can take a lot longer. In order to make the research process simpler for shoppers, we wanted to compare a Mercedes-Benz model with another from the luxury segment. When we put the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. the 2016 BMW 3 Series, we found many similarities; however, there were areas where one brand had a leg up in terms of power, safety and luxury features.

Both models have a similar engine- a 2.0-liter Inline 4- but the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class gets more out of it. The newest C-Class’s engine has the capability of outputting a whopping 241 horsepower, without breaking a sweat. The BMW 3 Series’ 2.0-liter provides its driver with 180 horsepower. In terms of performance, the Mercedes-Benz offers a bit more at the base level.
